This little part was made what seems like forever ago... 2005, I think. “Where'd you go, Dawn?! Could you give me a hint?!” Kenneth shouted at the top of his lungs, as he continued scanning around the garden area. It was a beautiful summer dusk at the young boy's household, where the leaves spread their shadows on the soft earth below. The sun was nearly down, and it's light shone upon the other side of the earth, where a few hours ago, it was darkened. There was nothing like a game of hide-and-seek. Sure, tag was fun, but being the great hiders that they were, hide-and-seek happened to be one of their favorites. Plus, having such a big mansion helped with their favorite hiding locations. Kenneth knew that the garden was Dawn’s favorite place; therefore, he decided to search there. The boy bolted past the rose bushes, passed the fountain, and into the goldenrod “maze,” so they called the few rows of shrubbery that rose three feet tall. He froze as he heard rustling sounds coming from the nearby oak tree. He smirked. I’ve got you now! He thought, as he stealthily moved for the tree but as he hopped behind the tree, he realized nothing was there. He furrowed his brow but then snapped his fingers as something inside of him clicked. He raised his head to look in the branches of the tree and there she was; Dawn, sat up in a branch of the tree, giggling down at her older sibling. “I was watching you the whole time, big brother!” “D'you know how to get down from there?” Kenneth asked, ever caring and concerned for his only sibling. “Of course I do!” Dawn grinned. She then held onto the tree branch on which she sat very tightly with both hands and carefully stepped down onto the lower branch, now holding onto the branch on which she sat. Looking as if she felt a little more confident, she then carefully lowered herself to the ground, smiling proudly. Suddenly, they heard the soft ringing of a bell off in the distance. It was the bell that their mother or father rung to bring the two children to the house. At that time of the serene spring day, that bell meant one thing... “Dinner!” The two shouted as they raced down the gardens to see who would get the first sandwich.
