Any comments? |
Making music videos is something I seem to do once in a blue moon. I don't make that many, mainly due to the fact that when I get started on one, it takes a long time for me to finish. (I'm such a perfectionist at times, it's kind of annoying.) But I have such a blast working on these. Hopefully you'll enjoy watching these, and maybe you'll even laugh a little. Each of the movies below were made by me with Sony Vegas Platinum 9.0. To record the video game clips, I use Dazzle and Pinnacle Studio. Both of those programs seem to do pretty well; I believe that perhaps it's Youtube's issue if the quality seemed messy one way or another. Now as far as legalities go... I don't own the anime, but I did purchase the DVDs, as well as purchasing a few of the albums used for the background music. Just until recently, I got a Youtube account to post these up on. If you're interested in seeing a few other smaller videos, you can find them at my Youtube Channel, TheDoofusProductions. (Seems a fitting title, don't you think? Ha ha!) You can also leave some comments there, too! Also, for any Youtuber's out there trying to friend me... My friends list is reserved for the friends I know in person. Sorry! If you send me a friend invite and don't get a response, that's why. ![]() Descendants of Darkness - Barbie Girl Song: Barbie Girl by Aqua | Lyrics Anime: Descendants of Darkness Okay, so long story short... (If possible, right? You know how I tend to ramble. Ha ha!) I had a friend of mine watch the entire series of Descendants of Darkness with me, and we both thought it would be kind of fun to make a music video with one of our favorite songs by Aqua, Barbie Girl. We've been listening to Aqua's stuff ever since... Geez, cassette tapes? Ha! And hontesly, please don't take any of this seriously. This was made purely as entertainment. I was the technician, creating the movie in Sony Vegas, and she gave me most of the ideas. I swear we were giggling half the time, trying to come up with which clip to match which lyric. (Thanks for the good times, kirstie11lynn!) And so, because this was a team effort video, my friend, kirstie11lynn, posted this on her Youtube Channel too, which can be found here. Oh, and by the way, the picture at the beginning was created by my friend using my scans (of the manga I purchased). It's something we like to do; take my scans, mix them up, and make weird pictures out of them. It's a blast, and we've done this for hours on end. And she does it all in Microsoft Paint. Yeah, she's pretty talented. Also, I made this movie back in the day when I didn't know how to save movies with Sony Vegas properly. So if you notice any quality flaws, that's why. That and using more programs to post it up on the internet made some more quality errors... It looked fine when I was making it, honest, but I seemed to fail at saving it the right way. Anyways, sorry about the bad quality. ![]() Saiyuki - Best Friends Song: Best Friends by Toy-Box | Lyrics Anime: Saiyuki (ADV's first few seasons) Actually, I did not want to use this song. I fought it for a long time. I knew I wanted to do Saiyuki lipsyncing, and I knew it was going to be a comedic amv. So as I was getting all my favorite funnier clips together, I was like, "You know, maybe I SHOULD use that song. It kinda fits, I guess." They're not so good friends at the beginning of my movie though. Especially Goku and Gojyo; they're always at it. But towards the end of the movie, I tried using some of the nicer parts between the guys. So all in all, I chose the song because I found it very fitting for the Saiyuki boys. (I guess.) This movie took me about a week to finish, start to end. (I told you it takes me forever to make these things!) I remember I would come home from work around nighttime, then do little bits of this movie at a time. Aside from having trouble matching the flaps to the song, another difficult thing was not being able which part to match to the lyrics. It all seemed to work out in the end, though. Even if it does have little bugs here and there (which came with the saving process, mind you). So again, I apologize for the not-so-great quality. Note: As much as I love Saiyuki, I want to comment how you really should not watch this series if you are under 16. Just don't. I also want to comment how fun this movie was to make. It's always an awesome feeling, too, when I show these to my friends, and they all seem to laugh at different parts. (One of my favorite parts, personally, is the part when little Sanzo goes, "Yeah." Ha ha! Me and my siblings got a kick out of that!) ![]() Harvest Moon - Lumberjack Song: Monty Python's Lumberjack Song Game: Harvest Moon Animal Parade What a project! This really was a blast to work on! This started off as a joke, actually. I was like, "Wouldn't it be funny?!" Then I was like, "...You know, I've got some clips saved up for a music video... maybe this is it...?" Because it's true; I had recorded a ton of different clips and cut scenes, hoping to make a future music video for this beloved game of mine. And so, here it is! Also, I tried to get a clip of each of the bachelors, which was actually somewhat hard for me to fit in. (Considering that I seem to pick favorites... Jin is my favorite boy of Harvest Moon, in case you can't tell. Ha ha! He's a cutie! I even had to cut a few clips of my honey to make room for other men! That's pretty bad, isn't it? Ha!) Anyway, I DID make an effort to fit all the guys in, but I do want to apologize to the fans of bachelors that didn't get a lot of spotlight in this video. I'm very sorry! This was an easy movie to make, actually. I had ideas flowing from all sorts of odds and ends, plus I had some help from my little sisters, who also play Harvest Moon. (Out to you two, thank you for your assistance! Love you lots!) Because this movie is kind of fast-paced, I believe it's best to watch it twice through; you know, to catch everything. (Perhaps this is a proud-movie-maker speaking... Ha ha!) But to conclude this long description (I'm so sorry!), I want to give everyone a fair warning: This movie is an odd one. |
