Below are some of my favorite recipes in alphabetical order. I have a huge collection of them, actually. But for the sake of saving space, I decided to use only my absolute favorites. (That, and there are some secret recipes that I decide not to share with many people. Ha ha!)

...Now that I look at these recipes all together like this, I realize that I am very brief with my cooking instructions. Hopefully you can understand them.

 Bakeless Drop Cookies (Hamburger Cookies) 

2 cups sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
Pinch salt
3 tablespoons cocoa

Put the above ingredients in a large bowl on the stove. Boil for 3 minutes, and add the following ingredients to mixture.

1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup coconut

Quickly drop chunks of the mixture on parchment paper. Let it cool.



 Chex Muddy Buddies 

9 cup Chex cereals (corn, rice and/or wheat)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Pour cereal into large bowl and set aside. Combine chocolate chip, peanut butter, and butter in 1 quart microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 1 to 1/2 minutes or until smooth (stir after 1 minute). Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and stir until all pieces are evenly coated.

Pour cereal mixture into large container (with seal) and powdered sugar. Seal securely. Shake until all pieces are well coated. Spread on wax paper to cool. Store in an airtight container. Makes 9 cups.



 Deviled Eggs 

4 hard-boiled eggs
1 teaspoon minced onion
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
Dash Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
Dash of paprika

Cut shelled hard-boiled eggs in halves lengthwise. Remove yolks; force through sieve into bowl. Add other ingredients (use more seasoning if desired.) Fill centers of egg white with yolk mixture. Chill. Remember to put a dash of paprika on them when finished.



 Meat Pie (Sheppherd's Pie) 

1 - 1 1/2 lbs of ground chuck
1/2 pkg. of dried onion soup
1/3 cup of milk
DASH of ground cloves
(Mix the above ingredients together.)

1 pkg. of shredded frozen browns potatoes (Thaw first)
2 pie crusts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put one crust in pan - pat in the meat mixture. Put thawed frozen hash browns on top of meat. Cover with second pie crust. Slit top with knife. Bake for 1 hour.



 Oatmeal cookies 

3/4 cup Crisco shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream together.

1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups oatmeal

Add to first mixture. You can add raisins or chocolate chips. Bake 12 - 15 minutes in 350 degrees oven.



 Oreo Balls 

1 package Oreos (1 -lb 2-oz size)
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 14 oz. package dark chocolate meltable candy discs
(I used Wilton dark cocoa which I bought at Michaels)

Use food processor to finely crush up Oreo cookies.
Cream in softened cream cheese until all Oreos are mixed into one huge dough ball.
Pinch off dough and roll into individual balls approx. the size of a large gum ball.
Place balls on wax paper on cookie sheet and refrigerate for about 10 minutes.
Melt candy discs according to the directions on the package.
Dip refrigerated balls into melted chocolate using a dipping tool.
Drop the covered balls back onto the waxed papered cookie sheet.
Refrigerate chocolate covered balls for about 15 minutes.
Keep refrigerated until serving. Makes about 45.



 Oriental Salad 

1 bag of 1/2 head cabbage
1/4 head red cabbage
4-6 green onions

Combine and put in large bowl

1 pkg. ramen noodles (oriental)
2 tablespoons sesame seeds - toasted
1/2 cup roasted salted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup almond slivered - toasted

Put all these in container. Add right before serving

Dressing
8 tablespoons vinegar (try raspberry vinegar)
2 tablespoons sugar
1/3 cup oil (try peanut, not olive oil)
Oriental seasoning packet



 Pickle Roll Ups 

1 large package of cream cheese (let stand at room temperature for 1 hour)
1 package dried beef
1 jar of sweet pickles (midget kind)

Spread beef with cream cheese. Roll pickle up. Refrigerate overnight. Slice and serve.



 Wreaths 

32 marshmallows (or 4 cups mini marshmallows)
6 tablespoons margarine

Melt in pot.

1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Green food coloring
4 cups corn flakes

Add to the pot. Shape into wreaths on muffin pan paper. Decorate with red hots.
